Everybody loves " NIKU JYAGA "
NIKU JYAGA
This is most popular dish among the mother's home cooking in Japan.
I've never seen a man don't like this dish. If you can make it, you'll surely be loved by Japanese man.
So--Post the recipe please. Would love to know more about the real world experience of Japanese people--What is your story? What is it like, to live day-to-day in Japan? What do you do each day? What is the relationship between tradition and NewLife in Japan??? Look forward to your next post....
Ingredients: 3 tablespoons vegetable oil 4 cups water 1 large onion, chopped 2 pounds cubed beef stew meat (Sliced pork back ribs) 3 large potatoes, peeled and cubed 2 carrots, cut into 2 inch pieces 3 tablespoons sugar 4 tablespoon soy-source
Directions : NIKU-JYAGA 1. In a large pot, cook pork (or beef) and onions in oil over medium heat until brown 2. Put potatoes and carrots into the pot, and stir. 3. put sugar, soy-source and Japanese rice wine. 4. Simmer about 30 minutes.
That's all. This recipe is traditional. The types of ingredients differ depending on the area and the home.
